Apla to hold blockchain hackathon in partnership with Gazprom and others
Apla is to hold the AplaBlockchainHack contest in Moscow over the weekend, welcoming blockchain aficionados to take part in a hackathon with total prize fund of 1.5 million RUB ($26,000) to be won.
The 48-hour long hackathon will bring together blockchain programmers, prototype and modelling specialists and IT architects, in addition to entrepreneurs and analysts architects.
Their aim will be to create and present a working prototype for a blockchain project using the Apla blockchain.
Apla and ACTUM are organising the contest in partnership with Gazprom, the Russian Patent Office (Rospatent)), IP Chain and the Rybakov Fund.
The AplaBlockchainHack will require contestants to come up with blockchain-based solutions business and smart cities, in addition to testing out the functionality of the latest version of Apla’s blockcahin platform. This testing allows participants to create products that will be implemented by governments across the globe.
Those teams that make it through the test selection process will be presented with a choice of the following tasks to complete:
- Gazprom: blockchain application in drilling activities
- Rospatent: blockchain application in smart-cities
- Apla: testing the functionality of the latest version of the platform.
